San Francisco Travel Diary: Part 1

So, I just took a trip to San Francisco, California and I decided to make some posts about it. Once law school begins in the fall, I will have lots of posts about law school on this blog but since it is summer and I don’t have too much law school related stuff to write about, I thought this would be nice to post. I was in California for a week and did lots of sight-seeing each day. Enjoy!

The weather in San Francisco was pretty chilly the entire week and did not get any higher than 68 degrees Fahrenheit. When we first arrived, we checked into the hotel and then headed to Lori’s Diner to grab a bite to eat. The food was delicious and once we were energized, we explored the surrounding area on foot. After walking up some steep hills and getting the feel for the city, we headed to the Macy’s in Union Square. It is 7 stories high and has a Cheesecake Factory on the 6th floor. After leaving Macy’s, we did some more exploring, grabbed dinner, and then called it a night.

The next day, we were up early since we had booked a tour that took us around the city and out to Muir Woods.  The tour covered most of the iconic San Francisco spots such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street (the really crooked street), The Painted Ladies (Row of houses that you see on lots of postcards and pictures of SF), the Full House house, etc. Overall, it was a jam packed day filled with tons of pictures!

The following day, we did not make any tour plans so we were free to explore on our own. We went to the Westfield Mall (a huge mall with every store that you can imagine pretty much), Fisherman’s Wharf, the Ferry Building, Ghiradelli Square, Coit Tower, and got ice cream sandwiches from The Baked Bear.
